This guide covers only the installation of optional drive cage and hard drives,

tape drives, memory, expansion boards, hot-plug redundant power supplies,

and a second processor unit.

Preparing the Mounting Brackets and

Slide Rail Assemblies

Each pair of rack mounting brackets supports one server.

NOTE:

Alignment tabs on the rack mounting brackets identify front flanges.

Each slide rail assembly consists of an outer bracket rail and an inner

component rail. These pieces can be separated to attach to the frame. Attach

the bracket rails to the rack mounting brackets and the component rails to the

sides of the server chassis.
