External storage drives
The two MSA30 storage enclosures for the DL 380 G5 8 TB Data Protection Storage Server are congured
for hardware RA ID fault tolerance using the HP Smart Array 6402 RAID Controller. The HDDs are
hot-pluggable and hot-swappable. The logical drives are con gured as RAID 5 volumes, and partitioned
with four RAID 5 logical par titions. A total of four RAID 5 b ackup data partitions, plus one internal, are
available for the D PM software. Table 9 shows add itional conguration information for the MS A30s.
