7. Secure the server faceplate to the front of the rack by fastening the
thumbscrews into the rails.

8. Before closing the rack door, tighten the thumbscrews to prevent the
door from hitting any protruding thumbscrews.
Installing the Cable Management Arm
A triple-hinged cable management arm ships with each server. The cable
management arm attaches to the server chassis and to the rear frame of the
rack. All cables leading to and from the server are tied to this arm. Two of the
hinges enable the cable management arm with attached cables to travel
through the rack when the server is extended. The third hinge allows the cable
management arm to swing out of the way during hot-plug power supply
procedures.
To install the cable management arm:
1. Insert the server into the rack. See the “Inserting the Server into the
Rack” section in this chapter.
