Installing Standard Rails into the Rack
To install the standard rails into the rack:
1. Complete the procedures for measuring with the template. See the
“Measuring with the Template” section in this chapter.
2. Remove the left server rail from the left standard rail:
a. Slide the server rail out of the front of the standard rail .
b. Remove the server rail .

3. Identify the front rack holes that accept the standard rail.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that inner side of the standard rail (ball-bearing rail guide) faces the
inside of your rack.
