The ProLiant DL380 Generation 2 server contains several sets of LEDs that
indicate the status of hardware components and settings. For a detailed
explanation of LEDs, see Appendix E, LED Indicators and Switches.
Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition (Optional)
The Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition option is a PCI-based, single-board
computer that provides remote management of a server, regardless of the state
of the host server operating system or the host CPU.
A built-in processor enables the Remote Insight expansion board to work
independent of the host server operating system. This board provides remote
access and video, sends alerts, and performs other functions, even if the host
server operating system is not responding.
For installation and features information, see Chapter 5, Remote Insight
Lights-Out Edition (Optional).
