Compaq designed the Compaq Third-Party Rack Option Kit to comply with EIA 310-D
specifications for rack width.
Table 3 lists the dimensions for installing ProLiant DL320 and ProLiant DL360 servers using the
Compaq Third-Party Rack Option Kit.

Note: When creating deployments of ultra-dense servers in third-party racks, include the minimum clearances for
installation of the server, rack rails and cables.
IMPORTANT: Compaq products are designed to provide airflow from the front of the rack to
the rear. It is recommended that rack components only be installed on the front rails for many
reasons, including proper airflow.
