Integration with Compaq Insight Manager 7
Full integration is provided with iLO and Compaq Insight Manager 7 under
key operating environments. This integration:
■ Provides support for SNMP trap delivery to a Compaq Insight Manager
console
■ Provides support for a new device type, the management processor. All
iLO devices installed in servers on the network are discovered in
Compaq Insight Manager 7 as management processors. Management
processors are associated with the servers in which they are installed.
■ Provides Integrated Lights-Out hyperlinks
■ Provides a hyperlink on the server device page to launch and connect to
iLO easily.
■ Allows all iLO to be grouped together logically and displayed on one
page, which provides access to iLO from one point in Compaq Insight
Manager XE 7.
Browser Support
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later gives full and easy access to the
features of iLO. This gives administrators full control of the remote host
server’s display, keyboard, and mouse, regardless of the state of the host
server or operating system to perform all remote management tasks.
