Workaround
If the volume has existing quotas, recover the volume from backup. If the volume
does not have existing quotas, use an Administrator login to rename the <Drive
Letter>:\Syst
em Volume Information\SRM\quota.xml file and try to
create the quo
tas again. Recover from backup if the creation continues to fail.
Issue:
After install
ing a M u ltilingual User Interface (MUI), the HP Storage Server Management console
might incorre
ctly display unsupported MMC snap-ins
Description
On the first reboot after installing a new MUI from the HP Localization Kit onto a n
HP ProLiant Storage Server, the HP Storage Server Management console might
display the Data Protection and Clustered Gateway M anagement MMC snap-ins,
which are not supported.
Workaround
There are two workarounds for this issue:
• Reboot the server.
or
1. Close the HP Storage Server Management console.
2. Restart the HP Storage Server Management service.
3. Reopen the HP Storage Server Management console.
Issue:
Creating quotas on a newly-installed cluster might cause File Server Resou rce Manger to fail
with an unexpec ted error
Description
After cre
ating a cluster, if you try to create a quota using the HP Storage Server
Manageme
nt console (Storage Management > Share and Storage Management
>FileSe
rver Resource Manager > Quota Management > Quotas), the Quota
Creation window might not open, the File Server Resource Manager will fail with
the message An unexpected error occurred,andanentrywillbeadded
to the event logs.
Workaround 1. Close the HP Storage Server Management console.
2. Restart the File Server Resource Manager service.
3. Reopen the HP Storage Server Management console.
