6. Keep your shipping ejector key. If you retrieved your shipping/ejector
key from inside the server, install the access panel and install the server
into the rack. See Installing the Access Panel earlier in this chapter,
and see Chapter 4, Installing the Server.
CAUTION: Before shipping the server, install the shipping/ejector key in its
storage location inside the chassis. Failure to do so can result in damage to the
CD-ROM/diskette drive assembly.
NOTE: Keep your shipping/ejector key for future use.
Removing a CD-ROM/Diskette Drive
Assembly (Optional)
CAUTION: Always install the bezel blank after removing the CD-ROM/diskette
drive assembly to maintain proper airflow and cooling. Failure to do so can
result in thermal damage to the system.
Use the following procedures to remove the CD-ROM/diskette drive
assembly:
1. Power down the server. See Powering Down the Server earlier in this
chapter.
2. Remove the CD-ROM/diskette drive assembly by using the same
procedure for ejecting the bezel blank. See Installing the
CD-ROM/Diskette Drive Assembly earlier in this chapter.
3. Align the bezel blank with the empty bay, and slide the blank fully into
the chassis.
