IMPORTANT: Observe the color of your heat sink to identify the correct replacement heat sink later in
this procedure.
11. Remove the processor. See “Processor” in this chapter.
CAUTION: Always use a new thermal pad and a new heatsink when replacing processors on
the system. Failure to use new components may result in damage to the processor. See
“Processor” in this chapter.
12. Identify the alignment keys and keyhole locations through on the system board.
