Fans 1, 2, and 3
To remove fan 1:
1. Power down the server. See “Powering Down the Server” in this chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. See “Access Panel” in this chapter.
3. Remove the PCI riser board assembly. See “PCI Riser Board Assembly” in this chapter.
4. Remove the center wall. See “Center Wall” in this chapter.
5. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
6. Remove the two Phillips-head screws that secure the fan to the center wall
.
7. Lift and remove the fan
.
8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 to remove fans 2 and 3, if needed.

Reverse steps 1 through 7 to replace the fan.
