Hard Drives
To remove a hard drive from the hard drive bay:
1. Power down the server. See “Powering Down the Server” in this chapter.
2. Remove the access panel. See “Access Panel” in this chapter.
3. Disconnect the SCSI or ATA cables from your hard drive
.
4. Disconnect the hard drive power cable from your hard drive
.
5. Remove the hard drive and hard drive tray:
a. Loosen the thumbscrew that secures the hard drive tray to the chassis
.
b. Slide the tray toward the rear of the server and lift the tray out of the chassis
.
