Chassis design
The DL2000 provides a consolidated infrastructure that allows you to manage up to four independent
servers in a 2U chassis with the effort of managing one. The 2U HP ProLiant e2000 chassis includes
two or four independent DL170e server nodes so you can customize the DL2000 chassis for your
environment—with four 1U nodes or two 2U nodes (Figure 1).
The DL2000 offers hot-pluggable nodes that you can remove without affecting the operation of other
nodes. For more information, see the Serviceability section later in this paper.
