Removal and replacement procedures 44
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
System board
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server blade (on page 24).
2. Remove the server blade (on page 24).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 25).
4. Remove all hard drives ("Hard drive" on page 26).
5. Disconnect the power button/LED board cable ("Power button/LED board" on page 28).
6. Remove the air baffle ("Air baffle" on page 29).
7. Remove the fan assembly ("Fan assembly" on page 29).
8. Remove the hard drive backplane ("Hard drive backplane" on page 30).
9. Remove all FBDIMMs ("FBDIMM" on page 31).
10. Remove any mezzanine cards ("Fibre Channel mezzanine" on page 32, "Multifunction network
adapter" on page 32).
11. Remove the BBWC battery pack ("Battery-Backed Write Cache battery pack" on page 33).
12. Remove any integrated array controllers ("HP Smart Array E200i Controller" on page 35).
13. Remove the controller cache module ("HP Smart Array E200i Controller cache module" on page
34).
14. Remove the power converter module ("Power converter module" on page 43).
15. Disconnect all cables connect to the system board ("Internal components" on page 56).
16. Remove the heatsink ("Heatsink" on page 35).
