blade.
Installing the BIG-IP Blade Controller
To install the BIG-IP software on the HP ProLiant BL10e server blade or HP
ProLiant BL20p server blade, the network boot procedure known as a Pre-boot
Execution Environment (PXE) is used. Booting a server with the BIG-IP F5
Resource CD allows you to configure that server (host) to act as a PXE server. The
following sections provide procedures for installing the BIG-IP software:
Note: When installing the BIG-IP software on multiple server blades, it is recommended that
you install and license the software on one server blade at a time. This can be accomplished
by creating a private network with only the host PXE/install server then adding and the server
blades one at a time.
