Deployment and Management
Configuration and management are supported on any four Gigabit Ethernet uplink
connectors on the interconnect switch as well as on the Integrated Administrator
management and serial console connectors. Supported interfaces include:
HTTP-based using Web browser
— Full-featured management interface
Supported on all common Web browsers
Includes graphical representations of the interconnect switch
Access using any Gigabit Ethernet uplink connector and the Integrated
Administrator management connector
Menu driven console with local and telnet access
Full-featured management interface
Access locally using the Integrated Administrator console connector or
remotely using telnet
SNMP agent support for interconnect switch management, configuration, and
monitoring using generic SNMP manager with a MIB compiler
SNMP V1 (RFC 1157) and RMON V1 (RFC 1757; groups: 1 Statistics, 2
History, 3 Alarm, and 9 event) support
Scripting capabilities are available using an SNMP scripting utility
Access using any Gigabit Ethernet uplink connector and the Integrated
Administrator management connector
The interconnect switch also offers additional configuration and management
features including:
Interconnect switch configuration and restore using TFTP server
Upload to and download from a TFTP server a copy of the interconnect
switch configuration
Enables rapid deployment of multiple interconnect switches with similar
configuration
Provides backup and restore capabilities
