Configuring the Switch Modules using the Command Line Interface
You can also display the settings for the advanced switch features including global settings
for IGMP snooping, GVRP, Telnet status, Web status, SNTP, and others.
Use the following command to display the switch module information:
Command Description
system show
[advanced]
Displays basic switch information
Type advanced in the command to
display advanced switch information.
Refer to the following examples.
This example shows the basic switch information.
Device Type—Displays the name of the switch module.
Option #—Displays the option number for the switch module and Interconnect
Module combination.
Switch Spare #—Displays the spare part number for the switch module.
MAC Address—Identifies the Ethernet address for the switch module.
Boot PROM Version—Identifies the version number of Boot PROM code installed
on the interconnect switch.
Manufacturing Date—Displays the manufacture date of the switch module.
Firmware Version—Identifies the version number of the firmware installed on the
switch module.
Build Date—Displays the firmware build date number.
Hardware Version—Identifies the version number of the interconnect switch
hardware build.
Configuration Save Time—Displays the time the current settings were saved to the
configuration file. If the current time has never been set up on the interconnect
switch, “Unknown” will be displayed.
