Restrictions and cautions
Release upgrade restrictions
Before you upgrade the firewall card from the F3166, R3166, or F3169 release series to the
F3171 release series, understand the following restrictions:
1. If static NAT, NAT address group, and NAT server are configured on an interface of the
firewall card, and the NAT global addresses are not in the same subnet as the
interface’s address, the interface does not respond to the ARP requests for the NAT
global addresses by default. For the interface to respond to such ARP requests,
configure for the interface sub-addresses that are in the same subnet as the NAT
global addresses.
2. Release F3171 does not support characters ! # ? @ ~ ( ) in the names of address
resources (including host addresses, address ranges, and subnet addresses),
user-defined service resources, and service group resources. If the current version of
the firewall card supports these characters, you must replace them with other
characters in the names before upgrading the firewall card to release F3171.
