EPS Port Operation
The HP 620 RPS/EPS has two EPS ports that can provide power to two PoE
switches simutaneously through EPS cables. Each external power supply unit
can provide PoE power to a switch as a primary source or as a backup to a
switch that has its own internal PoE power supply.
Each EPS port operates individually. The HP 620 RPS/EPS has two EPS ports
that can provide up to 398 W of PoE power at 50 VDC each. See “EPS
Connections on the 620 RPS/EPS” on page 5-37.
