Introducing the HP 600 Redundant and
External Power Supplies
The HP 600 Redundant and External Power Supply can supply both backup
system power to HP networking switches that are equipped to accept that
power, and additional PoE power to HP networking PoE switches.
Throughout this manual, these unit will be abbreviated as the HP 600 RPS/EPS.
The HP 600 RPS/EPS has six redundant power supply (RPS) ports supporting
backup power to six supported HP networking switches. The HP 600 RPS/EPS
also has two external power supply (EPS) ports that provide PoE power for
up to two HP PoE switches.
