Solution Use the Wireless Setup Wizard to either create or select a new
network name (SSID).
Verification fails at end of installation
Cause You might not have the correct wireless authentication or encryption
type selected. You might be using an unsupported authentication or encryption
type.
Solution Add encryption security to your network. For more information, see .

To add WEP encryption to your network
Note You will lose connection to the HP Wireless Dock Base until the
encryption/authentication settings are applied to the rest of the nodes on
the network.
1. Set up WEP on your wireless access point, gateway, or router.
2. Set up WEP on any wireless computer that will be on the same wireless
network.
3. Enter the WEP passkey on your HP Wireless Dock Base.
Cause Your network name (SSID) or WEP key might be incorrectly set.
Solution You can use the Wireless Setup Wizard to change the SSID or WEP.
For information, see Connecting to your wireless network.
Cause You are using an authentication protocol not supported by the
installation software.
Solution Use one of the supported protocol types listed in the Embedded Web
Server. Types not supported include: WPA2-AES, WPA2-TKIP, LEAP, PEAP,
EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS, EAP-AES, or EAP-TTLS.
Cause Your network uses multiple WEP keys, and you have chosen the wrong
key for transmitting.
Solution Enter the correct WEP key. For more information, see Connecting to
your wireless network.
Setup failed
Cause No signal is being received by the HP Wireless Dock Base.
Solution In order to establish a good signal between the HP Wireless Dock
Base and access point (infrastructure) or computer (ad-hoc), you might have to
