Set the language and country/region
The software in your Wireless Dock Base is available in the following languages:
English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese. Select the
language that best meets your needs.
Caution Regardless of the language you choose, you MUST select the
correct country/region where you are located. The country/region selection
sets the radio frequency for your Wireless Dock Base. Failure to select the
proper country can cause the Wireless Dock Base to not function. In some
areas, having the wrong radio frequency selected could be illegal.
1. Click the Setup button.
2. Select System Setup Wizards and press OK.
3. Select Language and Region Wizard and press OK.
4. Select your language and press OK.
5. Press OK again to confirm your selection.
6. Use the arrow keys to scroll through the list and select the country/region in which
you are located and press OK.
Advanced network setup
Note Only experienced users should change these settings.
The Advanced Setup menu allows you to change the following items.
Turn the Wireless Radio on and off.
Change or reset the IP Settings automatically or manually. The manual setting
allows you to change the following items.
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
Preferred DNS Address
Alternate DNS Address
Network glossary
ASCII American Standard Code for Information Interchange. The
standard for numbers used by computers to represent all the
uppercase and lowercase Latin letters, numbers, punctuation, etc.
AutoIP A feature of the installation software, which determines the
configuration parameters of devices on the network.
DHCP Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. A server on the network
that supplies configuration parameters to devices on the network.
On small networks, this could be a router.
DNS Domain Name Service. When you use the web or send an e-mail
message, you use a domain name to do it. For example, the URL
