usage report, and send it to HP for either all devices or a single device. The umadmin collect
command has two variations:
l umadmin collect -all will generate a usage report for all devices and return the report IDs
if successful.
l umadmin collect -name deviceName [-nowait], will generate a usage report for the
specified deviceName, return the report ID if successful and wait for the report to be
transmitted to HP. If the optional -nowait parameter is used, the umadmin collect command
will not wait for transmission of the report to HP.
See section: “Checking the Web Portal for Data Arrival” to verify that usage report arrived at the
UPS portal.
Warning: The umadmin collect command does not work for PPUSD1 devices. For more
information, see “Known Issues”.
Checking the Web Portal for Data Arrival
Important: To view usage reports using the UPS portal, you must first generate a usage report on
the Utility Meter system. See section: “Running the End-to-End Test” for details about generating a
usage report. For both HTTPS and email data transport, there may be approximately a 30 minute
delay for PPU devices and up to a two hour delay for URS devices (if not using the umadmin
collect command) between the time the usage report is generated and when it can be viewed on
the UPS portal. For email data transport, the delay can be longer due to the number of "hops" in the
email routing before the data arrives at HP.
You can verify that usage reports have arrived at the Utility Pricing Solutions (UPS) Web portal by
performing the following procedure:
1. Sign-in to the UPS portal at: http://www.hp.com/go/payperuse.
2. You need to add your device(s) to the UPS portal first. In the UPS portal left menu, click the
Update my list link, then the Setup product list link.
3. In the left menu, click the View my list link.
