Installation and Configuration Guide
Chapter 1: Introduction
Partition/Server was added.
l A network configuration, for the network that the Utility Meter is installed on, has been changed.
l For URS EVA or XP installations, Command View has been updated making it incompatible
with the SSSU or CLI installed on the meter.
l The email or HTTPS configuration on the customer's network was modified and the change has
broken the transport of the usage data to HP.
l For URS EVA installations only: The correct version of the HP StorageWorks Storage System
Scripting Utility software, used to access CV EVA, is not installed or is not configured properly.
l For URS XP installations only: The correct version of the HP StorageWorks Command View
Advanced Edition Command Line Interface (CVAE CLI) software, used to access CVAE, is not
installed or is not configured.
l For URS XP installations only: Before a collection against an XP is done a refresh is performed.
If the refresh fails, the collection will not be done (the meter will try at the next poll interval).

Ordering
You must order each of the following items from HP to build a Utility Meter:
l An HP ProLiant DL 320 server to run the Utility Meter software (for more information, see
section: “Recommended Hardware”)
l The HP Pay per use Utility Meter II software and installation service. To ensure the initial Utility
Meter software installation is performed successfully by the appropriate HP personnel, the
following HP products must be ordered:
n T2258AA (HP Pay per use Utility Meter II software and a hardened version of Red Hat
Enterprise Linux Server)
n For Pay per use (PPU):

HA113A1 option 57B (HP Utility Meter software installation service for PPU)
n For Utility Ready Storage (URS):
o
HA113A1 option 57U (HP Utility Meter software installation service for URS)
