3.3.3 Generating a Usage Report
The umadmin collect command can be used to force the meter to generate a collection, create a usage
report, and send it to HP for either all devices or a single device. The umadmin collect command has
two variations:
umadmin collect -all will generate a usage report for all devices and return the report IDs if
successful.
umadmin collect -name deviceName [-nowait], will generate a usage report for the specified
deviceName, return the report ID if successful and wait for the report to be transmitted to HP. If the
optional -nowait parameter is used, the umadmin collect command will not wait for transmission
of the report to HP.
