• Device Type – Select PPUOA for a PPU Onboard Administrator.
• Address (IP or FQDN)

5. Click Submit.
6. Verify the device was added by checking the List Devices table. You should see the device that you
added in Step 4 listed.
3.2 Adding PPU Partitions
3.2.1 Adding PPU Partitions from the Command Line
Use the following procedure to add a PPU partition using the command line:
1. On the Utility Meter, open a browser and enter the Utility Meter's fully qualified domain name into the
address bar.
2. Login to the Utility Meter as user umeter (default password: h.lnxmtr).
3. Add the PPU partition using the following command:
# umadmin adddev -name deviceName -type deviceType -address deviceAddress -username userName
where deviceType is PPUPARTITION for Superdome 2 or PPUSD1 for Superdome 1 and Integrity
Servers, and where deviceAddress can be either the device's fully qualified domain name or IP
address.
4. Enter the password for the root user of the PPU partition.
After entering the password, you should see the following output:
Device deviceName added successfully.
5. Verify the partition was added by listing the devices that have been added to the Utility Meter:
