NOTE:
When running Linux on servers with certain 8Gb models
of QLogic HBAs, P9000 Application Performance
Extender requires an additional procedure be run on the
HBA to become P9000 Application Performance Extender
compliant due to a known issue in the HBA. The
procedure involves running a DOS utility available in
the below mentioned zip files which are available as
part of the P9000 Application Performance Extender
media kit.
• HP_FLT_UPDATE_ISO.zip — This ISO image can
be used to create a bootable CD-ROM which includes
the utility and other required files.
• HP_FLT_UPDATE.zip — Is a standalone kit to
update FLT if the preference is to use another media
(USB Drive or Floppy.
Both the kits have a Readme.txt file included which
provides required user instructions.
All versions of the QMH2562 Mezz card for HP c-Class
BladeSystems are affected. For the 81Q and 82Q slot
adapters, all versions of D cards are affected. QLogic
versions A, B, and C are unaffected and do not require
the utility.
To use the DOS utility on cards installed on IA 64
systems, move the adapter from an IA 64 system to an
IA32 or an x64 system, and then run the utility. After
you run the utility, move the adapter back to the IA 64
system.
