PRODUCT NAME: HP Operating Environments for OpenVMS for Integrity Servers

SPD 82.34.10

DESCRIPTION

This SPD describes the HP Operating Environments for

OpenVMS for Integrity Servers, including Operating En-

vironment (OE) license bundles and revised media offer-

ings for the October 2007 release of the OEs, supporting

OpenVMS Version 8.3-1H1.

Operating Environment License Bundles:

• Foundation Operating Environment (FOE)

The Foundation Operating Environment is the core en-

vironment. It includes the operating system, along with

networking and infrastructure software. FOE compo-

nent products are not orderable separately.

• Enterprise Operating Environment (EOE)

The Enterprise Operating Environment includes the

FOE and adds system management tools. EOE compo-

nent products not included in the FOE can be ordered

separately.

• Mission Critical Operating Environment (MCOE)

The Mission Critical Operating Environment includes the

Foundation and Enterprise Operating Environments and

adds clustering and HP Reliable Transaction Router.

MCOE component products not included in the FOE can

be ordered separately.

The Operating Environment media kits deliver the Op-

erating System, the Operating Environment component

products, and the Layered Products as follows:

• Media and Online Documentation:

The media offerings (updated quarterly as necessary)

include the most recent revision of OE components,

Layered Products Library, and Online Documentation Li-

brary.

— Operating Environment DVD (binaries)

— Layered Product Library DVD (binaries)

— Online Documentation media for Operating Envi-

ronments and Layered Products

— Freeware CDs

— Open Source Tools CD

— Operating Environment Update media (provided

as needed for updating OE components)

• Hardcopy Documentation:

— HP OpenVMS License Management Utility Man-

ual

— HP OpenVMS Version 8.3-1H1 New Features and

Release Notes

— HP OpenVMS Version 8.3 Release Notes

— HP OpenVMS Version 8.3-1H1 Upgrade and In-

stallation Manual

Table 1 lists the OE component products included with

the currently shipping OE media. This SPD revises with

each OE update to track OE component versions and

ship dates.
