Overview
To run backups and restores of the VSS writers and filesystems, you need to configure
the Data Protector Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service integration backup
specifications.
To configure the backup using the VSS integration, perform the following steps:
Configuration steps
1. Configure devices, media, and media pools needed for the backup. See the
online Help for instructions.
2. Create a Data Protector VSS backup specification specifying the VSS components
to back up, the media and devices to which you want your data to be backed
up, as well as the Data Protector backup options that define the behavior of your
backup or restore session.
