6 Oracle 10g RAC R2 Integration and Configuration with Data Protector
The following steps are executed after the Oracle Clusterware and RAC Oracle 10g software installation and
database creation. The database RAC is created on RAW VxVM volumes using Database configuration assistant.

6.1 Configuring the Oracle Server
The following example describes the integration using the Data Protector GUI.
Configure the Oracle database when you create first backup specification for the database. Refer
to create backup specification section 6.2 for details.
Please select the virtual host name and global database name RACD.
