HP OneView 1.10 Release Notes

2.3 Connectivity
Enclosures added to HP OneView cannot be part of an existing VC (HP Virtual Connect)
domain. If an enclosure is managed by VC Manager, remove it from the VC domain before
adding it to HP OneView. Transitioning an existing infrastructure currently being managed
by VC Manager to being managed by HP OneView requires inventory and detailed evaluation
of the current environment before you initiate the transition.
2.4 Networks
Do not manually disable Agentless Management mode on the server’s iLO, as this is a required
setting. External monitoring tools that require access to SNMP host-based agents should use
a host-based NIC IP address.
Before creating a logical interconnect support dump containing the HP Virtual Connect 8Gb
24-Port Fibre Channel Module, ensure that an IPV4 address is assigned to the module.
2.5 SAN storage
Changes to SAN storage volume attributes for a server profile might not be reflected
immediately on the Server Profiles screen. Refresh the screen to update with the latest attributes.
To re-use an existing matched set vLUN, specify the LUN using the manual option when adding
volumes to server profiles.
Add a SAN manager to HP OneView before you create or edit a Fibre Channel network so
that you can associate a SAN with the network.
After adding an enclosure with a direct attach connection to storage systems, refresh and edit
the storage system in order to update expected networks on storage system ports before adding
SAN storage to server profiles.
Before changing Host OS Type for SAN storage in a server profile, ensure that the server is
powered off.
Ensure that sufficient capacity is available in storage pool before creating fully provisioned
volumes.
When you delete a network used in a storage system, refresh the storage system to update
the status of storage system ports.
If you use both HP OneView and the 3PAR Inform Management Console to present storage
to the same server, you can lose the ability to manage storage paths. HP recommends removing
the external host that sees vLUN references, and instead, provision SAN storage only with HP
OneView.
While managing SAN storage volumes that use the adaptive optimization feature of HP 3PAR
StoreServe, HP recommends to add all the associated storage pools in the configuration to
HP OneView.
It is possible for a storage system port configured with the HP 3PAR StoreServe persistent port
feature in 3PAR Inform Management Console (IMC) to failover to a partner port. The failover
status of HP 3PAR StoreServe ports are not displayed in HP OneView. To obtain the failover
status of a storage system port, use the 3PAR IMC or 3PAR CLI.
When you add a storage system port to a port group, the newly added port is not automatically
used in existing storage paths. You must remove storage paths that use the storage system
ports from the port group, and then re-add storage paths to the volume attachment.
