1 Introduction This document provides release information for HP OneView Version 1.0. The document is intended for administrators who install, manage, and troubleshoot HP ProLiant servers, HP Virtual Connect, and storage systems using the HP OneView appliance.
2 Best practices This section contains some best practices for using HP OneView. For additional best practices, see the HP OneView documentation described in “Related information” (page 9). 1. Enclosures added to HP OneView should not be part of the existing VC (HP Virtual Connect) domain. If an enclosure is managed by VC Manager, remove it from the VC domain before adding it to HP OneView.
3 Troubleshooting Use the following information to troubleshoot issues you might experience when using HP OneView. Issue Resolution Browser not responding or displaying expected content. 4 Known limitations The following are known limitations for the HP OneView Version 1.0 release. • REST API filter and query request attributes are experimental. The server profile REST API only supports filtering by profile name in the initial release. For best results, use the search index under index/resources when trying to locate specific resources.

A Validating the authenticity and integrity of the .ova file When you download the HP OneView appliance file from the HP Software Depot website at https://www.software.hp.com/, you can trust that the virtual appliance image is from HP because the site is cryptographically secured by HP. If the person who is installing the virtual appliance is not the person who downloaded the virtual appliance (that is, a break has occurred in the chain of trust), the virtual appliance file has also been digitally signed.
