HP OneView for VMware vCenter Release Notes (7.4)
• P9500 disk arrays are supported only with the default security option Command Device
Authentication Security Disabled.
• Snapshot and remote replication information is not reported for HP MSA arrays.
• When you use the storage provisioning features with HP EVAs, new datastores and virtual machines
cannot be created on thin-provisioned devices. You can clone an existing virtual machine that
resides on a thin-provisioned device, but the clone will be on a thick-provisioned device.
• For volumes mapped to specific iSCSI ports on MSA 2040 SAN, the Paths tab (Manage→HP
Management→Storage→Paths shows all the ports that are configured on the array rather than
the specific iSCSI ports.
Suggested action: Verify the actual port details using one of the following methods:
◦ Use a Telnet connection to the MSA 2040 SAN array and execute the command show
volume-maps.
◦ Use the MSA 2040 web-based Storage Management Utility by selecting volume→maps.
