If you want to export data from Storage Module for vCenter tables, you
must enable the following ActiveX control settings on the system that will
run the vSphere Client:
ActiveX (Storage Module for vCenter only)
Download unsigned ActiveX controls
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting
Some third-party security software might prevent you from enabling and
saving these ActiveX control settings. If you change these ActiveX control
settings and they revert to the default settings, review your security software
and local security policy.
Storage array software (Storage Module
for vCenter only)
You must use supported storage arrays with the required management
software installed. For more information, see the storage array
documentation.
The MSA SMI-S proxy provider must be installed on the same server
as the Storage Module for vCenter.
If you want to use the HP Insight Control Deployment Wizard, you must
install HP RDP from the HP Insight Rapid Deployment website.
HP RDP (Server Module for vCenter only)
If you want to use the HP Insight Control Deployment Wizard, you must
install the HP deployment connector on the HP SIM server.
HP Deployment Connector (Server Module
for vCenter only)
NOTE: If you try to use the HP Insight Control Deployment Wizard without
installing the Deployment Connector, the wizard prompts you to download
and install it. Follow the on-screen instructions.
The Deployment Connector installer is also available in the install
directory\static\bin.
In order for iLO information to display on the Server module Overview
page, iLO must be associated with the host. The association occurs
Management Agents for VMware ESX or
HP ESXi Offline Bundle for VMware ESXi
(which includes HP CIM providers) automatically when you use global credentials and install either
Management Agents for VMware ESX or HP ESXi Offline Bundle for
VMware ESXi.
