Enhancements to this version of Insight Control for vCenter software include:
Core module
• New user interface, which includes:
Consolidated health status.◦
◦ Task list.
◦ New navigation menu.
◦ Actions menu.
• Single installer for all Insight Control for vCenter components.
• ProLiant Gen8 support.
• Ability to switch the appearance of the screen (theme).
• Summary information organized by category in an overview.
• News Feed provides a list of recent events and activities.
Server module
The server module includes the following enhancements:
• Server identity summary.
• Detailed information by category.
Storage module
The storage module includes the following enhancements:
• View-only support for 3PAR arrays.
• Audit log for provisioning operations.
• VASA support for P2000 G3 MSA arrays.
• Support for the VASA Alarms feature on P2000 G3 MSA arrays. Array firmware version T240
or later is required.
Prerequisites
During the installation process, be prepared to provide the identification and login information for
each of the following:
• Insight Control for vCenter server
• vCenter Server
• VMware host credentials
