Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements

The Enhanced NPartitions Commands Version A.01.02 runs on the HP-UX 11i v1

operating system only.

Software Requirements

The Enhanced NPartitions Commands Version A.01.02 is dependent on the nPartition

Provider (NPar) product and the 11.11 nPartitions commands patch PHCO_31878.

Disk Space Requirements

To install the Enhanced NPartitions Commands product, 1 MB of free disk space is

required on the system.

Installing Enhanced NPartition Commands

You can install the Enhanced NPartition Commands product by either using the

swinstall command or using the software management tools in HP-UX System

Administration Manager (SAM).

If you have many systems, it is easier to install over the network from a central location. The

steps to install over the network from a central location are given below:

1. Create a network depot according to instructions given in Managing HP-UX Software

with SD-UX.

2. rlogin or telnet to the remote host on which you are installing the product.

3. Install the product from the depot.

The Enhanced NPartitions Commands (bundle name: NParCmds) product contains the

following ﬁle sets:

Fileset Description

NPARCMDS-RUN Contains the runtime ﬁles for the

partition commands.

NPAR-ENG-A-MAN Contains English man page of

cplxmodify(1M) command.
