In comparison, when the database for Net Optimizer - Lync contains 500,000 entries, it might
take only 8 seconds for the QoE metrics to be displayed.
In some instances, Net Optimizer - Lync might become unresponsive if its database contains
about one million entries, as a result of recent high call volume. The application clears database
entries more than 15 days old.
Resolution: Increase the memory size of the Java Virtual Machine on the HP VAN SDN
Controller to 32 GB:
1. On the HP VAN SDN Controller, open the /etc/init/sdnc.conf file in a text editor.
2. Change the 4096 value in the following example to 32768 and save the file:
JAVA_OPTS="-Xms512m –Xmx4096m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m"
The JVM maximum memory size is increased to 32,768 MB.
3. Restart the SDN Controller:
sudo service sdnc restart
• (CR148725)The SDN Controller's OpenFlow Monitor GUI for switches version x.15.14.xxx
does not display all the OpenFlow flow rules configured by Net Optimizer - Lync.
