Description HP Network Optimizer SDN Application - Microsoft Lync is an innovative SDN application enabling automatic QoS deployment on a dynamic basis for Lync calls. It lets you define DSCP values for various Lync services, including voice calls, video calls, and application sharing. Once a Lync call is initiated, Net Optimizer - Lync automatically applies the predefined DSCP values to the corresponding flows on edge switches using OpenFlow to deliver a better user experience and reduce operational costs.
In comparison, when the database for Net Optimizer - Lync contains 500,000 entries, it might take only 8 seconds for the QoE metrics to be displayed. In some instances, Net Optimizer - Lync might become unresponsive if its database contains about one million entries, as a result of recent high call volume. The application clears database entries more than 15 days old. Resolution: Increase the memory size of the Java Virtual Machine on the HP VAN SDN Controller to 32 GB: 1.
