4. After you install LSM, verify that the Lync SDN Manager service has started.
5. Install LDL on the front-end Lync SDN Manager by double-clicking LyncSDNAPI.exe.
6. Follow the prompts for installing LDL. When you are prompted for the Primary SDN Manager
URI, provide the URI of the server running Lync SDN Manager in the following format:
http://sdnmanager_uri:9333/LDL/CallInfo
7. Change the sendallcallqoe parameter to true in the LyncDialogListener.exe.config file,
which is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server\Microsoft Lync SDN API\.
8. Change the hidepii parameter to falsein the LyncDialogListener.exe.config file.
9. Restart the Lync Dialog Listener service.
Configuring your switches
Your switches must meet the following configurations before you install Net Optimizer - Lync:
• At least one controller instance containing the controller ID.
• OpenFlow enabled.
• OpenFlow in passive mode, which is a requirement for hybrid mode. Hybrid mode lets a
switch support VLANs in OpenFlow mode while also supporting VLANs running in traditional
mode using traditional protocols.
NOTE: For details on how to set these configurations, refer to the latest edition of the HP Switch
Software OpenFlow Administrator's Guide.
Installing license for Net Optimizer - Lync
Before using the Net Optimizer - Lync to apply predefined DSCP values to flows, install the Net
Optimizer - Lync license.
To install license for Net Optimizer - Lync:
1. Registering the application license and obtaining a license key.
2. Activating the license for the application on HP VAN SDN Controller.
Registering the application license and obtaining a license key
IMPORTANT: The HP VAN SDN Controller base license (J9863AAE) must already be registered
in the My Networking Portal. For information about registering license for HP VAN SDN Controller,
see the HP VAN SDN Controller Administrator Guide.
Required information:
• Order number or registration ID.
• Email address listed in your sales order confirmation.
• Install ID of the HP VAN SDN Controller.
To register the application license and obtain a license key:
1. Log on to the My Networking portal at http://www.hp.com/networking/mynetworking.
2. Select My Licenses.
3. Enter your order number or registration ID in the field provided, and then click Next.
4. In the Email field, enter either the “Ship to” or “Sold to” e-mail address listed in your sales
order confirmation, and then click Next.
5. Select the license type for your application, enter the quantity to be registered to your Install
ID, and then click Next.
6. In the Install ID field, enter your Install ID number.
7. Optional: Enter a Friendly name and Customer notes for this license.
