11 Viewing event logs
The Event Logs function records events related to Net Optimizer - Lync, and in some cases indicates
that some action is required to correct an issue. The following activities are regarded as events
and are recorded in Event Logs:
• Starting or stopping Net Optimizer - Lync
• Modifying any Net Optimizer - Lync configurations
• Registering or de-registering Lync SDN managers
• Connecting or disconnecting a switch to or from HP VAN SDN Controller
• Losing contact with a Lync SDN manager
Accessing event logs
You can access the Event Logs page through one of the following methods:
• Navigation menu
1. Click the Expand icon on the top of the main frame.
The Net Optimizer - Lync navigation menu appears.
2. Select Net Optimizer - Lync→Event Logs to enter the Event Logs page.
• Navigation tree
1. If the navigation tree is hidden, move the cursor over the left margin, and then click the
highlighted Hide/Expand icon .
The navigation tree displays on the left of the main frame.
2. Click Net Optimizer - Lync from the navigation tree, and then click Event Logs.
The Event Logs page appears.
Viewing event logs table
The Event Logs page, as shown in Figure 15, displays the logs occurred in the most recent 15
days.
