HP Network Optimizer SDN Application - Microsoft Lync 1.0 Administrator Guide
8 Viewing added Lync SDN Managers
Net Optimizer - Lync communicates with Lync SDN Managers to collect Lync call data, which is
the base of Lync QoS deployment and Lync call statistics. Registering Lync SDN Managers in the
Net Optimizer - Lync is a prerequisite for ensuring communication between them. Net Optimizer
- Lync provides the Lync SDN Manager list for you to view the IP addresses of registered Lync SDN
Managers and their reachabilities.
NOTE: After you register a Lync SDN Manager in the Configurations page, HP recommends that
you verify that the Lync SDN Manager is reachable in the Lync SDN Manager list. For more
information about how to register a Lync SDN Manager in the Net Optimizer - Lync, see
“Configuring Lync SDN Managers.”
To view the Lync SDN Manager list:
1. Click Net Optimizer - Lync from the navigation tree, and then click Lync SDN Managers.
A Lync SDN Manager list displays the IP addresses of all the added Lync SDN Managers and
their statuses.
2. Locate the IP address of the Lync SDN Manager you want to view.
You can sort the Lync SDN Manager list to change the display order or group Lync SDN
Managers by their status. To sort the list, click the Sorting icon or to the left of a table
column heading.
3. View the reachability of the Lync SDN Manager:
• Reachable ( )—Indicates that Net Optimizer - Lync can communicate with the Lync SDN
Manager successfully.
• Unreachable ( )—Indicates that Net Optimizer - Lync cannot communicate with the Lync
SDN Manager although the Lync SDN Manager was registered in the Net Optimizer -
Lync. HP recommends that you verify the IP address of the Lync SDN Manager.
4. Click Refresh on the top of the page to view the latest status of the registered Lync SDN
Managers.
