Session table contents
• Caller IP/Port—IP address and port number of the client that initiated the session.
• Caller Contact—Contact information of the client that initiated the session, such as the Email
address of the caller.
• Callee IP/Port—IP address and port number of the callee in the session.
• Callee Contact—Contact information of the callee in the session, such as the Email address of
the callee.
• Media Type—Type of Lync event that the session triggered, which includes video, voice, and
application sharing.
• DSCP Setting—Displays a flag showing whether the DSCP value predefined in the Net Optimizer
- Lync is applied to all flows of the session in the edge switch successfully.
◦ Success flag ( )—The predefined DSCP value is applied to all flows of the session
successfully.
◦ Partial success flag ( )—The predefined DSCP value is applied to the last flow of the
session successfully, but failed to be applied to at least one of the previous flows.
◦ Failure flag ( )—The predefined DSCP values failed to be applied to the last flow or
all flows of the session.

• Start Time—Time when the session starts.
• End Time—Time when the session ends. If the session is not terminated, the value of this
parameter is empty.
Viewing the detailed information of a session
In the Lync session table, click a session you want to view. The session record is highlighted, and
its main metrics and all flows are displayed under the session table.
Detailed information contents
• Call ID—ID that uniquely identifies a Lync session.
• Protocol—Communication protocol used by the session.
• Jitter—Average jitter detected between Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) packet arrivals during
the session. After a Lync session starts, this value is 0 until the session ends. You can view the
average jitter of this session after the session ends.
• Packet Utilization—Number of RTP packets sent in the session. After a Lync session starts, this
value is 0 until the session ends. You can view the packet utilization of the session after the
session ends.
