Checking Version Compatibility Before installing the client product, you must check that the product is compatible with the version of the Neoview release installed on the Neoview platform. For all client products, refer to the Neoview Client and Platform Compatibility Reference for version compatibility information. This document is available at http://www.hp.com/go/neoviewdocs.
always in sync with the minor release versions. If the versions are in sync, it is coincidental. nnnnnn_nnn Is the part number assigned to the client product (for example, 654321_001). By default, a new version of the ODBC driver will be installed in the C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP ODBC 2.0 directory (C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP ODBC64 2.0 for the 64-bit driver) unless you specify a different directory during installation.
4. 5. 6. 7. Search for “Neoview ODBC” in the Software Depot. Click the appropriate HP Neoview ODBC Windows Driver link that appears in the search results. There is one listed for the 32–bit driver and one listed for the 64–bit driver. When the Download window appears, click Save to save the installation file to your temporary download folder. When the download completes, navigate to your temporary download folder.

Task 5: Add a client data source 1. Start the Microsoft ODBC Administrator: Start > Programs > HP ODBC 2.0 > MS ODBC Administrator or, for the 64–bit driver Start > Programs > HP ODBC64 2.0 > MS ODBC Administrator Click Add. 2. 3. Select HP ODBC 2.0 and then click Finish to start the Create Data Source wizard. Enter the data source name (for example, “TDM_Default_DataSoure”) and then type an optional description, and click Next. 4. Enter the primary IP address or hostname for the database platform.
TDM_Default_DataSource, on the database platform, but you can create other data source definitions on the workstation. You can have more than one schema on the database platform. Instead of changing the schema definition in the data source definition on the workstation, you can create multiple data source definitions on the workstation with different schemas. However, the connection will default to TDM_Default_DataSource.
