README for the HP Database Manager (HPDM) (R2.5)
CAUTION: This procedure should only be performed by an experienced Neoview platform
user who has direct knowledge of the capacity of the disk drives in the target Neoview system.
For assistance, contact your HP representative.
NOTE: Perform this procedure once on every Neoview system that is managed by HPDM;
subsequent instantiations of HPDM do not require that this step be performed again.
To verify and adjust the capacity of the disk drives:
1. Start HPDM and connect to the target Neoview system as a user in the role of ROLE.DBA
or SUPER.SERVICES.
2. Under the navigation tree pane, select Space Management to display the Space Management
area in the right pane.
3. In the right pane, select the Configuration tab.
4. Under the Configuration tab, select the Advanced tab.
5. Under the Advanced tab in the Update Space Reference Tables group, select the System
Registry Table tab.
6. Under the System Registry Table tab, click Refresh to populate the table.
7. Under the USER_DISK_CAPACITY column:
• If the values reflect the capacity of the disk drives (in GBs) in the target Neoview system,
no further action is needed.
• If the values do not reflect the capacity of the disk drives (in GBs) in the target Neoview
system, adjust each value as necessary to reflect the capacity of the disk drives (in GBs)
in the target Neoview system. Typical values for disk drive capacity are 146 or 300.
8. Click Update to save any changes made in Step 7.
