README for the HP Database Manager (HPDM) (R2.5)

DescriptionField
An alias name to identify this Neoview platform. The system name can be
up to 32 characters in length, and consist of letters, digits, and the underscore
character.
Your Name for System
Specifies the name of the data source. If no data source is specified, or if
the specified client-side data source cannot be found on the server, the client
connects to the default data source (TDM_Default_DataSource).
Data Source
Your user name.
User Name
Specifies the role you want to use to logon to the system. You may have
been granted multiple roles and, during logon, you can specify the role for
the current session. Role name is an optional parameter, and, if not specified,
the system assigns a default role after logging on.
Role Name
The password for the Neoview user.
Password
The host name or IP address for the target Neoview platform.
Host
The NDCS server port number. The default port number is 18650.
Port Number
The default schema to use if composing a query. For the current release, if
this field is left blank, the default schema is typically the schema matching
your user name, with any lowercase characters upshifted.
Default Schema
The installed Neoview ODBC driver to be used with this Neoview platform.
Driver
Optional parameter. Since client logons are authenticated and you have set
your certificate directory to a different location than SYSTEM_DEFAULT,
you can browse the location of the certificate file to be used for the logon
authentication. If Auto Download Certificate policy is disabled, the
certificate is not automatically downloaded to the workstation. The
administrator should email the certificate to you, and you must save it to
your workstation.

Post-Installation Requirement
After successfully completing the steps described in “Installation Instructions” (page 6), you
must verify that the capacity of the disk drives in each Neoview system that is managed by
HPDM and on which the Space Management function will be used is accurately reflected in the
System Registry Table. If the capacity of the disk drives is not accurately reflected in the System
Registry Table, you must adjust the capacity of the disk drives to reflect the capacity of the disk
drives in the target Neoview system.
