• Neoview Command Interface (NCI) enhancements that include:
— New security features
— A new set of commands for configuring and managing the Neoview Data
Connectivity Service (NDCS) services, data sources, servers, and privileges
— Enhancements to existing NCI commands, such as PRUN

“Neoview ODBC Drivers”

• ODBC drivers are now Unicode drivers and accept Unicode functions (with a
suffix of W) and Unicode data.
“Neoview Workload
Management Services (WMS)”

• Neoview Workload Management Services (WMS) enhancements to support
query statistics aggregation. Neoview WMS now supports the aggregation of
query statistics for repetitive, short-running queries that are prepared once and
executed many times.
“Neoview JDBC Type 4 Driver”

• The Neoview JDBC Type 4 driver includes the following features not present
in earlier general availability releases:
— Support for password encryption
— Connection properties for specifying the location of the server certificate
used to encrypt passwords when connecting to a specific Neoview platform
from the workstation

— Function for obtaining the current role

Neoview Windows Client Package
The Neoview Windows Client Package combines seven Windows client drivers and tools into
a single installation file, greatly simplifying installation and reducing the time required to install
each component. The package includes these Windows drivers and tools:
