3. Enter a name for the service, and set the desired attribute values for the service. For more
information, see “Set the Service Attributes” (page 59).
NOTE: You cannot create a service with the HPS_ prefix. That prefix is reserved for
system-generated services.
4. Click the [Add] button to add the service, or click [Cancel] to quit the dialog box without
adding the service.
NOTE: You can also perform this task using a WMS command. For more information, see the
“ADD SERVICE Command” (page 185).
IMPORTANT: After adding services to the WMS configuration, you should create connection
rules for those services. If you do not define connection rules and associate them with your
services, WMS does not assign queries to those services but instead assigns queries to the default
service, HP_DEFAULT_SERVICE. To add connection rules and associate them with services,
see “Connection Rules” (page 70).
