Use the WMS System Configuration Pane
This table describes the attributes of the WMS system configuration:
Description or ActionFieldGroup Box
State of WMS:
• INIT (for initialization)
• ACTIVE
• HOLD
• STOPPED
• SHUTDOWN
This is a read-only field. To change the state of WMS, see “Manage
the WMS System” (page 162).
StateStatus
Maximum percentage of CPU busy allowed. By default, this value is
100%. This threshold specifies the default value to use when the
threshold is not set for the WMS service.
Enter a percentage from 0 to 100. Zero means that this threshold is
not checked.
Max Processor Utilization
(%)
Thresholds
Maximum percentage of memory usage allowed. By default, this
value is 85%. This threshold specifies the default value to use when
the threshold is not set for the WMS service.
Enter a percentage from 0 to 100. Zero means that this threshold is
not checked.
Max Memory Usage (%)
Frequency, in seconds, at which WMS collects runtime statistics for
all executing queries being managed by WMS. By default, this value
is five seconds.
Enter a value from 5 to 300 seconds.
Stats Interval (seconds)
Frequency, in seconds, at which WMS evaluates the execution rules
for a query. By default, this value is 60 seconds.
Enter a value from 60 to 3600 seconds.
Rule Interval (seconds)
Maximum number of rows that can be returned by a query. By default,
this value is 0, meaning no limit. This threshold specifies the default
value to use when the threshold is not set for the WMS service.
Enter a number from 0 to 9223372036854775807. Zero means no limit.
Max Rows Fetched
Interval, in minutes, after a query starts executing when WMS starts
evaluating the execution rules. By default, this value is five minutes.
Enter a value from 1 to 30 minutes.
Rule Start Interval
(minutes)
Maximum time interval a query can be in the executing state before
the query automatically times out. By default, this value is 0, meaning
no timeout. This timeout specifies the default value to use when the
timeout is not set for the WMS service.
Enter a value from 0 to 1440 minutes. Zero means no timeout.
