Neoview Workload Management Services Guide (R2.5)

This table describes the attributes of the WMS services that appear in the NWMS Services Details
box:

Name of the serviceSERVICE NAME
State of the service:
INIT (initialization)
ACTIVE (when the service is within its active period)
HOLD (when the service is put on hold)
STOPPING (when the service has been stopped by a STOP SERVICE command but
queries are still executing in the service)
STOPPED (when the service is stopped by a STOP SERVICE command)
TRANSIENT (when the service temporarily goes into different states, such as
STOPPED and STOPPING, on different segments of the Neoview platform)
STATE
Priority of the service relative to other services in WMS:
URGENT
HIGH
MEDIUM-HIGH
MEDIUM
LOW-MEDIUM
LOW
NOTE: The service priority is not a process priority.
SERVICE PRIORITY
Maximum CPU busy allowed. Zero means this threshold is not checked.MAX CPU BUSY
Maximum memory usage allowed. Zero means this threshold is not checked.MAX MEM USAGE
Time range during which the service can accept incoming queries, such as from 00:00
through 24:00
ACTIVE TIME
PLAN indicates that the query execution plans are collected for display.
NO_PLAN indicates that no plans are collected for display.
SQL PLAN
TEXT indicates that the SQL text of executing queries is collected for display.
NO_TEXT indicates that no SQL text is collected for display.
SQL TEXT
Maximum time interval a query can be in the executing state before the query
automatically times out. Zero means no timeout.
EXEC TIMEOUT
Maximum time interval a query can be in the waiting state before the query automatically
times out. Zero means no timeout.
WAIT TIMEOUT
Maximum time interval a query can be in the holding state before the query automatically
times out. Zero means no timeout.
HOLD TIMEOUT
SQL string that sets process priorities or session defaults for the serviceSQL DEFAULTS
Maximum number of rows that can be returned.MAX ROWS FETCHED
TIP: To sort the services data according to one of the attributes, such as ACTIVE TIME, click
the column name in the NWMS Services Details table.
To sort in ascending order, click the column name once. The arrow indicates that the
column is sorted in ascending order.
To sort in descending order, click the column name twice. The arrow indicates that the
column is sorted in descending order.
