DROP SERVER Command
This command removes the configuration entry for a directory server. Only a user who has the
ROLE.SECMGR role (for example, SECURITYMGR) may enter this command.
Syntax
[.SEC] DROP SERVER domainName UsagePri
Parameters
See “Attributes of Directory Server Configurations” (page 78) for attribute definitions. The
following considerations apply specifically to the DROP SERVER command:
• domainName and UsagePri are required and must match an existing configuration entry.
The command fails and an error is returned if
• You are not logged on in the role ROLE.SECMGR.
• You omit the domainName or UsagePri.
• No existing configuration entry matches the domainName and UsagePri you supply.
• The command line is syntactically incorrect.
If the command completes successfully, the following message is displayed:
Server configuration dropped.
Example
The following command removes the configuration entry for a directory server called
NeoviewDirectoryServer, with a priority of 9.
.sec drop server NeoviewDirectoryServer 9
Viewing a Directory Server Configuration
The Security Manager can use the HPDM Directory Servers display or the NCI INFO SERVER
command to view the configuration entry for an external directory server. The NCI INFO SERVER
command lets you display all attributes or specify which attributes you wishto display.
If you omitted an attribute when you defined a server in NCI, the corresponding attribute does
not appear in the list of Directory Servers in HPDM.
